On Saturday June 27th passanger flight operations will be resumed at Brač Airport. The first arrival will be Bombardier Q400 (in the picture) of Croatian flag carrier Croatia Airlinesa (OU/CTN), a member of Star Alliance, which will arrive from the new charter destination for Croatia Airlines.

Croatia Airlines will operate charter flights from Linz in Austria for the first time. Because there aren’t any passangers who would retrurn from Brač Island to Austria, Croatia will fly from Zagreb to Linz without passangers, and then from Linz via Graz to Brač Island with passengers on board. Because of the same reason, there is only one way flight on regular Brač – Zagreb route. Charter route Brač – Linz – Graz – Brač will then be operated once weekly, every Saturday from July 4th. From June 30th a regular Zagreb – Brač route will be operated in both ways twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the same as last year.
Last year Croatia Airlines operated only Graz – Brač charter route. However, Linz is not connected with Brač for the first time. Charter flights from Vienna, Innsbruck and Linz were operated last year by Czech flag carrier ČSA Czech Airlines (OK/CSA) with ATR-72, but these charter flights are not currently in offer. All charter flights from Austria to Brač are organizated by Austrian Tour Agency Gruber Reisen.
It is also interesting that the flight from Linz to Brač on June 27th will be the first passanger flight operation at Linz Airport since the start of lock-down in March this year .
