Russian air carrier Nordwind Airlines (N4/NWS) has recently announced to inaugurate a new route from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) to Zagreb. This will be the first regular flight service of this company to Croatia. The route is announced to start with flight operations already next week, from March 19th, once a week on Fridays. Flights will be carried out with Embraer ERJ-190 operated by its subsidiary Pegas Fly (EO/KAR).

Nordwind Airlines was founded in 2008 with the main operational base at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow. They mainly operate lesiure flights from Russia to a numerous tourist destinations around the world. Fleet has currently 33 planes of different types: Airbus A321, Airbus A330-200, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 777-200 and Boeing 777-300. Subsidiary company, Pegas Fly was founded in 1993 with the main operational base at Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. This company stared under the previous name Ikar (KAR) and they had only helicopter services with Mil Mi-8s at the begining. Since 2013, when this company was purchased by Nordwind, they started with the first passanger flight services. They now have 15 planes of following types: Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-900ER and 6 the smallest Embraer ERJ-190s.
