Russian regional air carrier RusLine (7R/RLU) will fly to Split in spring. New route Moscow – Vnukovo (VKO) – Split (SPU) will last very shortly. The May 1st Holidays are very popular for travelling on Russian tourist market, therefore this new route will be operated just on weekends before and after May 1st. Two arrivals to Split are planned on Saturdays, April 27th and May 4th. The route will be operated by small Canadair CRJ-100 (on the picture) or CRJ-200 aircraft. Although there are just two roundtrips, this route is offered on RusLine website as a scheduled flight, not as a charter.
RusLine started operations in 1999. under the previous name Aerotex Airlines, with Yakovlev YAK-40 and Tupolev TU-134 planes. In 2003. they changed their name to current RusLine and moved operational base from Sheremetyevo Airport to Vnukovo Airport in Moscow. In April 2010. RusLine bought bankrupt russian regional air carrier Air Volga (G6/WLG) and started renewal of its fleet with first 6 Canadair CRJ-100 aircraft, which they got with this purchase. Two Airbus A319 aircraft received from Air Volga were sold. Currently their fleet includes 20 Canadair planes in two versions CRJ-100 and CRJ-200.
