EVA Air fleet renewal

Taiwanese carrier EVA Air has confirmed its order for six more Airbus A350-1000s and three A321neo aircraft, Airbus said in an official statement. With the order, EVA Air expects to take delivery of a total of 24 A350-1000s and 18 A321neo aircraft on order.

Clay Sun, President of EVA Air, said: “The new additions to our fleet reaffirm our commitment to sustainable aviation and delivering an exceptional travel experience. Both the A350-1000 and A321neo set high standards in their categories, offering outstanding efficiency and comfort to our passengers. As we move forward with our fleet and network expansion plans, we look forward to leveraging the aircraft’s extended range and efficiency to strengthen our market position.”

The Airbus A350 is a modern and one of the most efficient wide-body aircraft. Among the aircraft available today, it provides the longest range, setting new standards for intercontinental routes. It is powered by the latest generation Rolls-Royce engines. Compared to previous generations, it consumes 25% less fuel and emits lower levels of carbon dioxide, making it an economically and environmentally efficient aircraft.

The Airbus A321neo is part of the A320neo aircraft family. Improvements to the aircraft’s structure, the so-called sharklet design, the use of the latest technologies, and the use of new, more efficient engines have resulted in greater cabin efficiency and 20% fuel savings compared to previous types.

Benoit de Saint-Exupery, Executive Vice President, Commercial Aircraft Sales, added: “EVA Air’s new orders underscore the continued appeal of the A350-1000 as the leader and benchmark for long-range intercontinental operations and the A321neo as the leader in regional efficiency. We deeply appreciate EVA Air’s confidence in these latest generation aircraft and stand ready to support their seamless integration into the airline’s fleet for future success.”

As part of its fleet renewal, EVA Air is replacing its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with Airbus A350-1000s, while the A321neo will replace the carrier’s existing A321s in the fleet.
