Play arrives in Pula!

The Icelandic air carrier Play Airlines has started selling tickets for a new destination in Croatia: Pula. The first flight to Pula will be on Saturday, 31 May 2025, and will continue with flights until 16 August 2025. It will fly to Pula once a week, every Saturday. The flight from Reykjavik to Pula will take three hours and twenty minutes, while the return flight will take five hours and forty minutes. Unfortunately, like the flight to Split this year, this flight is outside the usual wave to North America. As a result, if you’re looking to transfer, you won’t need to wait half a day to continue your journey.

Flight schedule Reykjavik – Pula:

  • OG544 KEF – PUY 15:40 21:30 —–6-
  • OG545 PUY – KEF 22:30 01:10 —–6-

Split was the first destination of Play Airlines in Croatia which was launched this year with one flight per week.

Next year, Play will offer flights to Split twice a week, with the exciting news that the departure time has been moved to the morning. This change allows for convenient connections from North America to Split via a layover in Reykjavik, though this option is only available until June 12. After that date, the flights will depart from Reykjavik in the afternoon. North American flights typically arrive in Reykjavik between 4 and 5 a.m., and with just a few hours of waiting, travelers can continue their journey to Split. However, on the return leg, there is a significant downside—connections to North America will require more than half a day of waiting, including an overnight stay in Iceland. On the bright side, for adventure seekers, this offers a great opportunity to explore Iceland. Play’s STAYover service allows travelers to stay up to 10 days in Iceland without any additional ticket costs. Whether you continue your journey immediately or after a few days, the price remains the same.

Flight schedule Reykjavik – Split (12 June – 28 August 2025):

  • OG538 KEF – SPU 14:50 2135 -2-4—
  • OG539 SPU – KEF 22:35 01:40 -2-4—

Play is delighted with Croatia as their destination, because it is popular among their passengers, and due to high demand, they are increasing the number of flights.

During the writing of the articles, changes were made in the flight schedules. Since the changes are still being implemented, discrepancies between the published flight schedules on Avioradar and the actual flight schedule are possible.
