Polish flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines (LO/LOT), a member of Star Alliance, has announced 13 new routes from Poland to Croatia from July 3rd, that weren’t planned at all before Covid-19 crisis. Polish destinations Lublin and Rzeszow will be connected to Croatia with direct flights for the first time. Rzeszow – Zadar route was announced earlier, but was unknown if the flight operations would really start. Other Polish destinations as Bydgoszcz, Szczecin and Wroclaw were earlier operated with charter flights to Croatia, but last year there weren’t any flights from these three destinations. Zadar will have 5 new routes, Dubrovnik and Split will get 4 new routes. Krakow – Dubrovnik route was operated last year, but before covid-19 crisis it wasn’t planned to resume with flight operations this year.
Almost all new routes will be operated with Embraer ERJ-195 (in the picture) except Rzeszow – Zadar route, which is announced with smaller Bombardier Q400, and Katowice – Split route with bigger Boeing 737-800.
In addition to these 13 new routes, it is now cofirmed that the previously announced new Warsaw – Rijeka route will also start with flight operations from July 5th. It will be operated once a week, on Sundays. At the same time, Warsaw – Split and Warsaw – Zadar will get an additional weekly flight comparing with last year. However, according to current bookings, Warsaw – Dubrovnik route will have one flight a week less then last year. Last year’s Warsaw – Pula route was removed from offer even before Covid-19 crisis.
Warsaw – Zagreb route is currently offered with first flights from July 16th and with only 4 flights a week, instead of two daily flights last year. The flights are offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a smaller Embraer ERJ-175.
