Zagreb International Airport Ltd. (MZLZ) has become a new member of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) and signed the Diversity Charter, further confirming its commitment to sustainable business practices and the creation of an inclusive working environment.
By signing the Diversity Charter, Zagreb Airport has undertaken the obligation to strengthen a culture of equality, inclusiveness, and respect for diversity among its employees. This initiative is aligned with European practices and emphasizes the importance of empowering employees, encouraging innovation, and building a healthy business environment.
Through its membership in HR PSOR, MZLZ has joined a network of leading Croatian companies that actively promote sustainable business and socially responsible management. By collaborating and sharing experiences, the goal is to improve standards in the areas of environment, society, and governance (ESG) and ensure that the airport’s development is in line with global sustainability trends.
As the largest and busiest airport in Croatia, MZLZ has for many years operated in compliance with international quality and environmental protection standards. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 10002 certifications confirm its commitment to the continuous improvement of services, reduction of environmental impact, and transparent relations with passengers and partners.
Of particular note is its leadership role in decarbonization – MZLZ has achieved the prestigious ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation Level 4 – Transformation, which confirms not only the measurement and reduction of its own CO₂ emissions but also the active involvement of airlines, service providers, and the local community in joint efforts to reduce emissions.
Since 2023, Zagreb Airport has regularly published a Sustainability Report, providing transparent insight into its results and goals in the fields of environment, society, and governance. The document is publicly available on the airport’s website, further highlighting open communication with passengers, partners, and the wider community.
MZLZ emphasizes that it will continue investing in projects that contribute to environmental protection, the development of social responsibility, and the creation of an inclusive working environment, with a clear goal of building a sustainable future for air transport in Croatia.
