Croatia Airlines announces five new international routes for summer 2025.

According to information first published by the blog Ex-Yu Aviation News, Croatia Airlines plans to introduce five new routes starting with 2025 summer flight schedule. The new destinations include flights from Zagreb to Milan, Prague, Hamburg, Bucharest, and Madrid.

Although these new routes are not yet in the the system, Croatia Airlines provided the following statement to AvioRadar:

“Croatia Airlines plans to expand its network of destinations during this year’s summer flight schedule, including the introduction of flights from Zagreb to the five mentioned destinations (Milan, Prague, Hamburg, Bucharest, and Madrid), as well as an increase in weekly frequencies on certain routes. The optimization of the summer flight schedule is still ongoing, aligning with the delivery schedules of the new Airbus A220 aircraft and their integration into the fleet. Therefore, at this moment, the company cannot provide more specific details (such as the launch dates of new routes, weekly frequencies, aircraft types, or ticket prices).”

The new routes will be aligned with the integration of Airbus A220 aircraft into the fleet. Two aircraft have already arrived: the first landed in Zagreb on 30 July 2024, and the second one on 20 December 2024. A third aircraft is expected in March 2025. As part of the fleet renewal, the first Dash 8 Q400 aircraft (9A-CQB) left the fleet in January, while the second (9A-CQA) is set to leave in April. By the end of 2025, a total of five new Airbus A220 aircraft will join the fleet, with those arriving in late summer being the smaller A220-100 variant.

The fleet renewal is part of Croatia Airlines’ strategy to enhance competitiveness and improve passenger service. The Airbus A220 is planned to become the backbone of the fleet by 2026, replacing older aircraft models.

Passengers can expect greater comfort on the new routes as the airline continues to optimize its flight schedule and adjust capacity to market demand.
