Austrian Airlines: strike on March 28 and 29

After a total of 17 negotiation rounds, the vida union and the Works Council for cabin crew continue to refuse to discuss our offer of a salary increase of up to 18% for flight attendants and pilots, and up to 28% for co-pilots. With this offer, the company has already moved beyond its economically feasible limit. Since last Sunday, no further discussions have taken place, with the employee representatives opting against finding a mutual solution. Austrian cannot keep our passengers in union uncertainty until the last minute. Therefore, it has just been decided to cancel over 400 flights from 28 March, 12:00 a.m. until 29 March, 12:00 p.m. (36 hours).

All passengers will be rebooked on the next available flight. Guests can choose to reject a flight change, cancel their flight, and request a refund. Since the weekend, it has also been possible to independently rebook or cancel flights to flights operated by airlines within the Lufthansa Group for free on our website.
