Turkish Atlas Global has suspended all flight operations

Turkish air carrier Atlas Global Airlines (KK/KKK) has suspended all flight operation on Tuesday, November 26th, 2019. All flights are suspended temporary until December 21th. Ticket sales are suspended for all flights until further notice. Company is now in big financial problems, trying to survive and restructure.  

This air carrier was founded in 2001. under the previous name Atlasjet International Airlines (KK/KKK). The main operational base is Istanbul. Before the current suspention of traffic, they’ve had routes to 24 destinations. There were 18 aircraft in the fleet: 13 Airbus A321s (in the picutre below), 2 Airbus A320s, a single Airbus A319s and a single A330-200 (in the picture above). Earlier they used to fly with more planes of each type, as well as with older types: Boeing 737-400sBoeing 757-200sCanadair CRJ-700s i CRJ-900s and McDonnell Douglas MD-83s. They have also funded a subsidiary Atlas Global Ukraine (UH/UJX) with operational base at Odessa, two Airbus A320s and a single route to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev. 

Atlasjet used to fly on a single regular route to Croatia. It was from Istanbul to Dubrovnik. This route was cancelled when Turkish national air carrier Turkish Airlines (TH/THY) started to fly on the same route.
