Getjet Airlines: New charter route from Lithuania to Split

Lithuanian air carrier Getjet Airlines (GW/GJT) will start its own first charter to Croatia. This will be a post-seasonal charter route from Lithuania to Split. The flight  Vilnius (VNO) – Split (SPU) will be operating once a week, on Sundays during September, with Airbus A320 (in the pictures).  

Getjet Airlines has started with operations in 2016. with main operational base in Vilnius. Until autumn last year, their business was based on wet-lease of aircraft with crew to other air carriers. Among others, their planes were also operated on short-term wet-leases for Croatia Airlines (OU/CTN). After the demise of Lithuanian air carrier Small Planet Airlines (S5/LLC), they took up six of their Airbus A320s and started with their own charter operations for Baltic tour agencies.

Currenty, they have 15 planes in their fleet: three Boeing 737-300s, five Boeing 737-400s, six Airbus A320s and one Airbus A330-300. Furthermore, a part of their fleet is still wet-leased to other air carriers. Two of their Airbus A320s are wet-leased to the Dutch air carrier TUI Airlines Netherlands (OR/TFL) and they also fly on the route Amsterdam – Pula (in the pictures).
