Wizz Air connects Zadar with Budapest and Warsaw

Zadar Airport has announced the arrival of a new carrier to its market – Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air, which will connect Zadar with Budapest and Warsaw during the summer schedule. Flights, along with their detailed timetables, are already available in the airline’s reservation system, and both routes will operate from 9 June to 19 September.

On the Budapest–Zadar route, four weekly flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights from Budapest (BUD) will carry the designation W62471, departing at 15:55 on Mondays and Fridays (arriving in Zadar at 17:10), at 18:30 on Thursdays (arrival at 19:45), and at 10:15 on Sundays (arrival at 11:30). The return flight W62472 from Zadar will depart at 17:45 on Mondays and Fridays, at 20:20 on Thursdays, and at 12:05 on Sundays, arriving in Budapest just over an hour later. The route is scheduled to be operated by the Airbus A321neo, indicating a significant seat capacity per flight.

Zadar will also be linked to Warsaw with the same frequency – four times per week. Flight W61341 from Warsaw (WAW) will operate on Mondays and Fridays at 18:40 (arriving at 20:30), while Thursday and Sunday departures are scheduled for 10:45, landing in Zadar at 12:35. The return service W61344 from Zadar will depart at 21:05 on Mondays and Fridays and at 13:10 on Thursdays and Sundays, arriving in the Polish capital later in the evening or afternoon, respectively. The Airbus A321neo is also planned for deployment on this route.

The arrival of Wizz Air further expands Zadar’s destination network towards Central and Eastern European markets. Budapest and Warsaw represent strong outbound markets for the Croatian coast, and the four-weekly frequency on both routes allows for greater travel flexibility for both leisure passengers and individual travellers.

The introduction of these new routes also confirms continued traffic growth at Zadar Airport and strengthens its position on the map of European low-cost carriers, while further increasing available capacity during the peak summer season.
