Star Alliance Won The Skytrax World’s Best Airline Alliance Award

This year, Star Alliance once again won the title of the world’s best airline alliance at the prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards. The newly opened alliance lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport also won the title of the best airline lounge in the world in the year it opened. Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias accepted the awards at a ceremony held at the prestigious Fairmont Windsor Park in the United Kingdom.

Celebrating the occasion, Panagiotoulias said: “We are honored to know that millions of users have voted and named us the best again. This not only recognizes the hard work we put in to provide our customers with seamless journeys, but further encourages us to strive for even better.”

Panagiotoulias also congratulated the thousands of employees of member airlines across the Star Alliance network and continued: “The dedication and hard work of every employee of Star Alliance and its member airlines during the promising year 2023 has culminated in this award. I proudly accept this honor on their behalf and commend them for their dedication. I encourage them to strive for even better things this year and in the years to come.”

The Skytrax World Airline Awards, known as the Oscars of the airline industry, are celebrating their 25th anniversary with the reputation of an impartial international user voting system. In 2024, in the survey that lasted from September 2023 to March 2024, 21.42 million valid votes of travelers from more than a hundred countries were counted. The survey was available in six major world languages.
