EASA certified the cargo version of the Embraer E190

Embraer received another certification for the E190F: on November 7, EASA certified the repurposed passenger version into a cargo one, ADN portal reports.

The certification comes one month after it was confirmed by the US FAA, and four months after the certification by the parent civil aviation agency, Brazil’s ENAC.

Since it is an adaptation of the original passenger version of the aircraft, the E190F did not require new documentation, so the European regulatory body updated the original documentation published and approved in March 2003.

Embraer launched the E-Freighter program in 2022 with the aim of converting the E190 and E195 models to transport 13,150 kg and 14,300 kg of cargo, respectively. The first E190F was delivered to Regional One.
