Dubrovnik’s Ruđer Bošković Airport has marked a historic milestone – welcoming its three-millionth passenger for the first time in its history. The landmark moment took place on October 30, when Austrian Airlines flight OS623 from Vienna arrived, confirming yet another record-breaking year for the airport and continued growth of air connectivity in southern Croatia.
The lucky passenger was Kerstin Gams, who arrived with her family for a holiday in Dubrovnik. She was welcomed at the terminal by representatives of the airport and its partners, receiving a gift package and a flight voucher from Dubrovnik Airport, as well as additional presents from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, Rixos Premium Dubrovnik hotel, Rewind company and the local brand Aura.
“It is a great pleasure to celebrate the arrival of the three-millionth passenger – a historic moment that confirms another successful and record-breaking year for our airport, the second in a row after 2024. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our employees, the trust of our passengers and the cooperation of many partners – the City of Dubrovnik, the County, airlines and the tourism sector. Dubrovnik is now more connected with Europe and the world than ever before,” said the airport management.
The same day also marked the beginning of the new winter timetable, which brings several novelties compared to the previous season. Dubrovnik remains connected to Dublin, Manchester, Madrid, London and Zurich, while new routes to Rome, Frankfurt and Vienna have been introduced. Existing international routes to Brussels, London and Warsaw are also being maintained.
Dubrovnik Airport has been recording continuous growth in passenger numbers and operations throughout 2025, with the months from May to September delivering record results. According to current projections, this positive trend is expected to continue, further strengthening Dubrovnik’s position as one of Europe’s most desirable destinations.
