Croatia Airlines presented its summer flight timetable at the WTM tourist fair

Croatia Airlines presented its offer at the WTM fair in London, one of the world’s largest and most famous tourism fairs, making the fair an excellent opportunity to present the flight timetable of the Croatian national carrier. Croatia Airlines presented its offer at the stand of the Croatian National Tourist Board, where 23 co-exhibitors, i.e. Croatian tourism and other entities, showcased their offer.

As part of the summer flight timetable for 2024, Croatia Airlines plans to further expand the network of international flights and increase the total number of flights compared to this year’s season. In the peak load of the season, the number of flights is planned to increase by about 6 percent, and the available passenger kilometres to increase by 7 percent. Flights on certain seasonal routes will start at the end of March next year, which is earlier than this year, and will be operated until the end of October 2024, which will further contribute to the extension of the tourist season in Croatia.

During the next tourist season, the introduction of new international routes is planned, and more specific information about these will be announced after the slot conferences are completed by the end of autumn. It should be noted that the company expects to deliver the first new Airbus A220 aircraft in the middle of next year, which will begin the renewal of the entire fleet with new and better-quality aircraft in the market segment of 100 to 150 seats. Because of this, passengers can also expect higher travel comfort in the new aircraft, and other benefits will be available to them during the flight, such as three-speed internet, mobile phone chargers (USB A and USB C) in each seat, and more.

Compared to previous generations of aircraft, the Airbus A220 delivers the latest generation engines that reduce noise per seat by 50% and have 25% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Following the adopted post-COVID strategy, Croatia Airlines plans to replace the fleet with 15 new A220 aircraft by 2027, allowing the company to completely switch to jet-powered aircraft and have a unified single-type fleet.

Let’s add that this year’s 44th edition of the fair is from November 6 to 8, and it is expected that the fair will be visited by more than 35 thousand professionals from the tourism and travel sector.
