Croatia Airlines launches new Dubrovnik – Stuttgart route

Croatia Airlines has introduced a new international route between Dubrovnik and Stuttgart as part of its 2026 summer flight schedule, giving southern Croatia an additional direct connection with one of Germany’s key regional markets.

Flights on the Dubrovnik – Stuttgart route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, until October 23. The new service has been launched in cooperation with Ruđer Bošković Airport, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board.

Stuttgart is the capital of the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg and one of the most important economic, cultural and transport hubs in southern Germany. The region has strong tourism, business and family ties with Croatia, including a large Croatian diaspora, making the new route significant both for inbound tourism and for passengers travelling between Croatia and Germany.

The launch of the service further strengthens Dubrovnik’s accessibility during the summer season, especially from the German market, which traditionally plays an important role in Croatian tourism. For the Dubrovnik area, the new connection also represents an expansion of the direct flight network toward a market with strong tourism and economic potential.

Viktor Šober, Director of Ruđer Bošković Airport, described the new route as another important step in strengthening the international connectivity of southern Croatia. He said the airport, in cooperation with Croatia Airlines, continues to develop a flight network that ensures stable accessibility for Dubrovnik throughout the season, adding that the route is expected to have a positive impact on traffic and mobility for residents of Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

The importance of the new service has also been highlighted by local tourist boards. Miro Drašković, Director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, said that every new air route further strengthens the city’s international connectivity and creates opportunities for higher-quality tourism traffic, particularly from the German market, which has for years ranked among Dubrovnik’s most important source markets.

Julijo Srgota, Director of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, expects the new route to contribute to stronger tourism flows from Baden-Württemberg and to more long-term connectivity between the county and the German region. Particular emphasis is placed on attracting higher-spending guests interested in authentic experiences, eno-gastronomy and active holidays.

During the 2026 summer flight schedule, in addition to Stuttgart, Croatia Airlines will also connect Dubrovnik directly with seven other European destinations: Athens, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome and Zurich.
