At last, Split will be connected to Istanbul! Since Istanbul is one of the most important hubs in Europe, Split will be connected to a large number of destinations around the world.
The flights will start on May 7, 2024 and will continue until mid-October, with three flights a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday. The return flights will be on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The departure time of the flight from Split is ideally set for the Turkish Airlines’ departure wave to Asia, with connecting times of one or two hours. The flight from Istanbul leaves too early, because intercontinental flights only start arriving after 5 a.m. which is the time when the flight to Split leaves. However, from the operational view point, it is clear that the plane cannot wait in Istanbul for another two or three hours for transfer passengers from intercontinental flights, because it is needed in Split in order to continue with morning flights to other destinations. But this is certainly excellent news for Split and Croatia Airlines.
