Croatia Airlines and IATA hosted the Modern Airline Retailing workshop

Organized by Croatia Airlines and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a one-day workshop entitled “Modern Airline Retailing” was  held in Zagreb with the aim of promoting new, modern distribution models in air transport. The workshop will be attended by employees of the Croatian national airline as well as representatives of foreign airlines that are members of IATA.

The workshop will provide insight into the latest trends in the issuance and distribution of transport documents using the NDC (New Distribution Capability) and “ONE Order” standards, which represent a technological breakthrough aimed at simplifying the distribution process.

The airline industry is characterized by dynamic changes that encompass all aspects of its sophisticated infrastructure and distribution support. The offer of air transport services a few years ago is still very different today, and it is shaped, first of all, by the ever-increasing and more precise demands and expectations of consumers. More than ever before, the market is looking for personalization, efficiency, and a flawless travel experience, and airlines as well as their most important distribution channels – travel agencies – participate in the offer of such services. The goal of this business cooperation is to always be at the disposal of clients, using all available technological means, and to meet the expectations of users of air transport services as much as possible with their offer.
