Zagreb is about to become the center of aviation excitement. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Lučko Airfield will host a major air show marking 115 years of aviation in Croatia’s capital. The Memorial of Croatian Aviators, organized by the Zagreb Aeronautical Association and Aero Club Penkala, will bring a full-day program for all fans of flying sports and adrenaline.
The program starts at 9:30 a.m., featuring thrilling pilot competitions in precision landings, parachute and paraglider jumps, and an attractive air display. The skies above Lučko will be filled with performances by the Croatian Air Force, the Flying Bulls Aerobatics Team, aerobatic pilot Mato Bumbar, and many other aircraft and aviators, promising a true adrenaline spectacle. A special part of the program will be dedicated to the memory of pilot Miroslav Nessek, whose name and legacy will be honored with dignity.
In addition to the aerial displays, visitors can look forward to rich accompanying content – musical performances by Zdenka Kovačiček and the Green House Band, a retrospective of Zagreb’s aviation history, and socializing in a relaxed atmosphere. Organizers have also taken care of practical details: admission and parking are free, while food, drinks, and a spacious area for gathering will be available.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Zagreb, and the Croatian Generals’ Assembly. Organizers invite all citizens to join and become part of Zagreb Air Show 2025 – an event that unites tradition, passion, and a love of flying.
