ETF Airways adds another Boeing 737-800 to its fleet

ETF Airways continues to expand its fleet with the arrival of a new Boeing 737-800, registered as 9A-ICF. The aircraft is expected to enter service soon in the colors of the Croatian air carrier, further increasing ETF’s operational capacity for its partners and passengers.

The new fleet member carries serial number 29659 and line number 3280, and is a Boeing 737-8FZ variant. The aircraft performed its first flight on May 7, 2010, under the test registration N1787B. Two CFM International CFM56-7B26 engines power it, while the passenger cabin is configured with 189 economy-class seats. The aircraft’s hex code is 501C65.

According to available data, after its delivery on May 29, 2010, the aircraft operated for Shandong Airlines under the registration B-5531, where it remained until March 2018. It later joined the fleet of Eastar Jet in September 2018 as HL8325. During a period of storage in 2020, it also carried the registration OE-IPV, while before joining ETF Airways it was recorded as LN-NIK with Norwegian Air Shuttle AOC, with storage noted from February 2026.

ETF Airways announced the arrival of the aircraft with a welcome message for the newest member of its growing fleet, emphasizing that, as the fleet expands, so does the company’s commitment to safe, reliable, and high-quality service for partners and passengers around the world.

With the arrival of 9A-ICF, ETF Airways further strengthens its Boeing 737-800-based fleet, a type widely used in European and global charter operations thanks to its capacity, range and operational flexibility.
