Zagreb International Airport has signed the EASA Air Safety Protocol

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) published the COVID-19 Aviation Health Safety Protocol on May 20th this year, which contains operational guidelines to assist airlines, airports and national aviation authorities in protecting the health and safety of passengers, crew members and employees in the aviation industry.

At the beginning of July 2020, Zagreb International Airport signed the EASA Charter and thus joined the list of 22 European airports and airlines that are signatories to the Charter. The Charter assumes the responsibility of ensuring the highest standards of epidemiological safety and enables the exchange of information with the aim of improving joint measures aimed at achieving maximum safety in the aviation industry, during a global pandemic.
The aim of the Charter is to promote the implementation of the operational guidelines of airports and airlines, in order to facilitate the recovery of passenger traffic within the EU and the rest of the world.

Since April, Zagreb International Airport has been implementing a project with the symbolic name “Trust”, which is in line with the guidelines of the Aviation Health Safety Protocol.
