Who flies from/to Croatia (status: 11/05/2020.)

 

News:

  • From May 11, 2020 it is again possible to fly on domestic routes between Zagreb and Split/Dubrovnik. There will be two return flights every day
  • Frankfurt is still the only daily connection from Croatia 
  • From May 22, 2020 Eurowings will fly twice a week from Zagreb to Cologne. This flight schedule is valid for the month of May

Flight schedule for May 11, 2020

The flight to Frankfurt remaines unchanged and continues to fly in the afternoon period. Domestic flights from Zagreb to Split and Dubrovnik operate twice a day. The first flight is in the morning, with both flights to the Adriatic coast departing around 8AM, and returning immediately. The arrival time to Zagreb is before 11AM. Passengers make a flight connection to Frankfurt with a departure at 15:05, which means they have to wait a little over 4 hours for the flight.

The flight from Frankfurt arrives to Zagreb at 19:25 and, in less than an hour, passengers can continue their journey to Split and Dubrovnik. In times of normal operations, the planes and crews would spend the night at Adriatic destinations in order to return the plane to Zagreb the next morning. Now the planes and crews return immediately to Zagreb, where they arrive around 11 pm.

Dash 8-Q400 will fly on domestic flights, while the Airbus A320 will fly on the flight to Frankfurt.

Flight connections in Frankfurt

We analyzed which connections can be made in Frankfurt, ie from which destinations you can come with one transfer from Zagreb.

The flight from Zagreb to Frankfurt departs from Zagreb at 15:05, and lands in Frankfurt at 16:35. Unfortunately, the flight to Frankfurt lands in the afternoon, and therefore the number of destinations to which you can continue your journey by transfer is limited. The vast majority of flights had already departed from Frankfurt by then. From Frankfurt you can change flights to Paris, Riga, Singapore, Milan, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Bahrain. Destinations are shown on the next map.

 

In the direction to Croatia, the situation is much better in terms of the number of possible destinations from which you can get to Zagreb, Split or Dubrovnik. The flight to Zagreb departs at 18:00, and by then many flights have arrived in Frankfurt. The only thing is that most flights arrive by noon, which means a longer wait for a flight to Zagreb. But nowadays when there are no other options, waiting will not create such a big problem, it is important to get home. The next two maps show destinations from which you can catch a connection to Zagreb. The first shows flights from Europe, while the second shows destinations from other continents.
