Volotea will operate a new route from Greece to Split

Spanish low-cost air carrier Volotea (V7/VOE) has announced a new route from Greece to Split for the summer 2020 timetable. The Athens – Split route will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays starting from April 19th, 2020. This route is already operated by Croatian flag carrier Croatia Airlines (OU/CTN) and Greek flag carrier Aegean Airlines (A3/AEE), both members of Star Alliance

The route Athnes – Dubrovnik was also inaugurated this year. Next year, this route will start with operations two weeks earlier than this year, from April 11th, 2020. During preseason, this route will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the same as this year. During peak season, from the begining of June, flight operations on this route will be increased to three flights a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In 2019, Voltea had operated 3 weekly flights only in August.

Both routes will probably be operated by Boeing 717-200s (in the picture).
