Spanish low-cost air carrier Volotea (V7/VOE) has announced a new route from France to Dubrovnik for the summer 2020 timetable. The new Toulouse – Dubrovnik route will start with flight operations on April 4th 2020, with two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The end of seasonal flight operations is unknown yet, because air tickets are offered for sale only until the end of August 2020. This route will be operated by Airbus A319s (in the picture).
Volotea will fly on this route instead of German air carrier Germania (ST/GMI), which went bankrupt in February this year. Germania had only one flight a week from Toulouse to Dubrovnik, on Saturdays, also operated by Airbus A319.
Also, Volotea’s summer 2020 timetable will have a boost of flight operations on three routes from France to Split. Routes from Lyon, Nantes and Toulouse to Split will get a third flight a week on Tuesdays during peak season, in addition to current two flights a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. However, the route Marseille – Split will have only two flights a week instead of three flights a week this year.
In 2020, Volotea will reduce flight operations on routes to destinations in north Adriatic. Pula Airport will only get Nantes – Pula route once a week, on Thursdays. This year’s new route Bordeaux – Pula is not in offer for the next year. Rijeka Airport got its first Volotea route, Marseille – Rijeka this year. However, this route is not in offer for next year.
