Swiss has inaugurated new route to Dubrovnik

Swiss flag air carrier Swiss Air Lines (LX/SWR), a member of Star Alliance, has inaugurated new Geneva – Dubrovnik route on Saturday July 4th. This route was announced for the first time in December last year, and starts with flight operations now, just as planned. This route will be operated once a week, on Saturdays, until the end of August with Airbus A220-300 (in the pictures on the first arrival). Unfortunately, last year’s Geneva – Pula route is not offered anymore until the end of this year.

Subsidiary air carrier Edelweiss Air (WK/EDW) has also resumed flight operations on additional two routes to Croatia. Zürich – Dubrovnik route has started with the first flight on Friday July 3rd. It will be operated with just one flight a week, on Fridays. That is one flight less per week, as Monday flights are cancelled. Also Zürich – Pula route has started with flight operations on Saturdays, 4th. The same as for Dubrovnik, Pula will have only one flight a week, on Saturdays, one less then last year since Wednesday flights are cancelled.

Zürich – Split route has started with flight operations one month ago, on June 4th, with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays. From the begining of July, this route will have two more flights a week. Additional flights are added on Tuesdays and Saturdays. However, this is 3 flights per week less then last year, when this route was operated on a daily basis. All Edelweiss flights are operated with Airbus A320.
