On the first day of the new year, aid arrives from Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal and Spain

 

After devastating earthquake with the epicenter in Petrinja, help keeps arriving to this Croatian region from all parts of the country, as well as from other European countries. Today, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal and Spain are joining a large number of countries that are helping with the equipment needed for so many people, with a total of five flights.

Early this morning, Bulgaria sent two Bulgarian Air Force aircraft, type Alenia C-27J Spartan, on flights AFB073 and AFB071, which should land in Zagreb from Sofia at the time of publication of this text.

According to our information, beds and heaters are being brought to the quake-hit area.

At around 9:45 am, an Antonov An-26B aircraft from Vulkan Air should land in Zagreb from Portugal, stopping in Barcelona on its way to Croatia.

Poland will deliver aid by EADS CASA C-295 aircraft around noon. The same plane should be arriving to Croatia for the second time during the day, around 17:20 local time.
