Dubrovnik Airport reached its high-record traffic of 524.615 passangers in August 2019, which is an increase of 8,87% comparing to August last year. For second month in a row, there were more then half a million passangers in one month. The high-record July 2019 has been followed by a high-record August, making it a new historical record for Dubrovnik Airport.
On Saturday August 24th, Dubrovnik Airport welcomed this year’s 2 millionth passenger. The lucky passenger arrived on Croatia Airlines flight OU4467 from Zurich. She was welcomed with gifts by the representatives of Dubrovnik Airport and Konavle Municipality, together with the representatives of tourist associations in City of Dubrovnik. This year, Dubrovnik Airport welcomed its 2 millionth passenger 19 days earlier than in 2018.
In this article we pick out the photos of two planes, which arrived to Dubrovnik in August. In the pictures above, there’s an Airbus A319 of SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/SAS), the member of Star Alliance, which wears special “retro” livery. This aircraft with registration OY-KBO was built in 2006. and from the begining it is operated by SAS. It arrived to Dubrovnik on August 9th on route no. SK2833 from Copenhagen. It is not the first time that this aircraft arrived to Dubrovnik.
In the pictures below there is an ATR-72 of Greek air carrier Astra Airlines (A2/AZI). This aircraft arrived to Dubrovnik two times in August on the charter flight no. A2570 from Thessaloniki. This aircraft with registration SX-DIP was built in 1992 for Polish flag air carrier LOT Polish Airlines (LO/LOT) and it was operated with registration SP-LFE in Poland until 2014. After that, it was sold to Greece. Also this in not the first time that this air carrier and this aircraft arrived to Dubrovnik.
