German naional air carrier Lufthansa (LH/DLH), the member of Star Alliance, announced that it will suspend co-operation with Spanish regional air carrier Air Nostrum (YW/ANE) on Friday June 21st. Currently, Lufthansa has two of their Canadair CRJ-1000s on lease,with registrations EC-LJT and EC-MNR (in the picture below). Both planes were operated on lease to Croatia Airlines (OU/CTN) during last two years.
This cancellation of co-opertion will also affect operations to Croatia. The two planes were operated on flights between Zagreb and Frankfurt since April this year. So instead of Air Nostrum, Lufthansa will be operating its own Airbus A319 (in the picture above) starting from Saturday, June 22nd. There will also be a small change in flight schedule on this route.
