New Italian flag air carrier ITA Airways (AZ/ITY), a member of SkyTeam Alliance, will inaugurate first two routes to Croatia. Former Italian flag air carrier Alialia (AZ/AZA) went bankrupt in autumn last year, but immediately a new Italian flag air carrier has started with flight operations. During former winter timetable they didn’t operate any flights to Croatia. Now two routes to Croatia are offered in August during Ferragosto.

- Ryanair announced fourth route from Zagreb to Italy
- SkyAlps announced new route from Italy to Brač island
- Wizz Air is coming to Dubrovnik and announces new routes from Italy
The first route is Rome (Fiumicino – Leonardo da Vinci Airport) – Dubrovnik with one flight a week, on Tuesdays, from August 2nd to 30th. The second route is Rome (Fiumicino – Leonardo da Vinci Airport) – Split, also with one flight a week, on Thursdays, from August 4th to 25th. On other weekdays ITA Airways is offering flight tickets in code-share co-operation with Croatian flag air carrier Croatia Airlines. These two routes are the same that Alialia operated previously, but they were mostly operated with a smaller Embraer ERJ-175, which weren’t taken over by the new air carrier. Now all flights are announced with Airbus A320 (in the picture).
