Two weeks ago, we were able to see 2 planes belonging to Greek air carrier Ellinair (EL/ELB) at Zagreb Airport. They arrived for service at Croatia Airlines (OU/CTN).
Let us introduce this Greek air carrier. Ellinair was founded in February 2013. and started operations one year later. Main operational base is at Thessaloniki Airport (SKG). Ellinair has currently two Airbus A320s (in the photo) and two Airbus A319s in its fleet. Besides that, they are taking additional planes on lease for summer seasonal operations. Last year, they had additional two Airbus A320s and three Boeing 737-300s taken on lease. The airline used to fly with two British Aerospace Avro ARJ-85 as well, but they are not in their fleet anymore.
Ellinair operates seasonal regular flight and charters from varoius Greek destinations, mainly to destinations in East Europe and Russia. We were also able to see Ellinair on some non-regular charters from Greece to Dubrovnik.
