German Lufthansa resumes flight operations to Croatia

German flag air carrier Lufthansa (LH/DLH), a member of Star Alliance, has resumed flight operations to Croatia on Tuesday, March 9th. The first arrival was on the flight number LH1414/DLH1414 from Frankfurt to Zagreb. This is Lufthansa’s return on this regular route after exactly one year. The last flight on this route was operated last year on March 8th.

Six flights a week are planned on this route in March, but from April this route should be operated with 11 flights a week. Gradually from June this route will have 2 daily flights, the same as before the start of the pandemic. However since June 2nd, time schedules on this route will be changed. Both daily flights will be connected to new transfer times in Frankfurt, with no more night stops in Zagreb for Lufthansa aircraft and crew. All flights are announced with Mitsubishi CRJ-900 (in the picture from archive).

The second route from Munich to Zagreb is not offered for the entire summer 2021 timetable, until the end of October. Direct flights between these two cities are offered only in code-share co-operation with Croatian flag air carrier Croatia Airlines (OU/CTN)

Routes to other Croatian destinations at the Adriatic coast will start with flight operations gradually after March 27th, but more about these routes will be covered in some of our following articles.
