On 27 July 2021, at around 8:15 pm, an Airbus A320-214 (registration number D-ABHN) of the German airline Eurowings (EW / EWG), made a non scheduled landing at Osijek Airport on flight number EW6631 from Brussels (BRU) to Pristina (PRN). The plane arrived to transport some of the passengers who survived a serious traffic accident near Slavonski Brod, to Pristina (Kosovo). The tragedy happened on Sunday, 25 July 2021, when Deva tours (Kosovo) bus was on a regular route from Frankfurt to Pristina, killing 10 people, while the remaining 50 passengers suffered minor or more serious injuries. Croatian authorities, in cooperation with colleagues from Kosovo, organized transportation for people who did not need hospitalization and those who were discharged from the hospital with minor injuries. Today in the afternoon a group of passengers from the tragic event was transported by bus from Slavonski Brod to Osijek Airport, from where they took off at around 9:15 pm and arrived to Pristina around 10:10 pm.
