The longest flight of Alaska Airlines Boeing 737

Alaska Airlines will be connecting Anchorage with New York and San Diego with seasonal direct flights next summer. Daily flights to New York JFK will begin on June 13, 2024 and will be the only nonstop flights between New York JFK and Anchorage. The last flight on the route to New York – JFK will take off on August 19, and to San Diego on August 17.

The route between Anchorage and New York JFK is 3,386 miles (5,449 km) long and will become the longest flight in the Alaska Airlines network. On that route Alaska will fly with its new 737-MAX 8 aircraft. This aircraft has the longest range of any aircraft in Alaska’s fleet, which will allow them to add new direct destinations that were previously impossible to fly due to the short range of other aircraft.
