Riyadh Air is set to welcome its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking a key step in the airline’s development. The leased aircraft, featuring the airline’s pearl livery, will be used for training and as a technical spare. It will be unveiled at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
While not equipped with Riyadh Air’s forthcoming cabin interiors, the Dreamliner features a high-specification setup designed to uphold the airline’s modern standards. This aircraft is independent of the 72 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners ordered by Riyadh Air.
The aircraft will support the airline’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC) process with the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the coming months. It will be pivotal in facilitating the airline’s planned operations launch in 2025.
