Flying Blue, the loyalty program of the Air France-KLM group, is marking its 20th anniversary, reaffirming its position as one of the most popular loyalty programs in the aviation industry. Launched in 2005 through the merger of Air France’s and KLM’s programs, it now boasts nearly 30 million members worldwide and partners with around 40 airlines and over 100 commercial partners.
The program was recently named the world’s best airline rewards program, thanks to innovations like Cash & Miles, the Flying Blue Shop for Miles, and partnerships with brands such as Amazon, Uber, and SNCF. Members can also donate miles to organizations like UNICEF or contribute to the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel.
To celebrate the milestone, a global campaign—”Turning Miles into Memories – for 20 Years”—has been launched and will be visible in airports and on social media. A special “Memory Miles” promotion will allow selected members to revisit iconic destinations.
With the new Flying Blue+ app, the program continues to expand its reach, offering even more ways to earn miles in everyday life. Over two decades, Flying Blue has remained committed to creating unforgettable experiences for its members.
