Now, we bring you flights that will allow passengers to “turn back time” and celebrate the New Year twice, due to the same phenomenon. Cathay Pacific will operate three flights on New Year’s Eve, all departing from Hong Kong and traveling to North America: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver. The flight to Los Angeles departs Hong Kong on January 1, 2025, at 00:25 and lands in Los Angeles on December 31, 2024, at 20:55. The flight to San Francisco departs on December 31, 2024, at 00:55 and lands the same day at 21:00. Lastly, the flight to Vancouver departs at 01:00 and lands on December 31, 2024, at 20:35.
Fiji Airways will give passengers a unique “two New Year’s” experience on its flight from Kiritimati to Honolulu. The flight departs on January 1, 2025, at 07:30 and lands on December 31, 2024, at 10:40.
Starlux Airlines’ first flight of 2025 departs Taipei at 00:05 on January 1, 2025, and lands in San Francisco on December 31, 2024.
ANA (All Nippon Airways) will take off from Tokyo at 00:50 on January 1, 2025, and land in Los Angeles on December 31, 2024, at 17:50.
Air New Zealand’s flight from Auckland to Rarotonga Island departs on January 1, 2025, at 08:50 and lands on December 31, 2024, at 13:40.
Samoa Airways will operate five flights from Apia to Pago Pago on New Year’s Eve. These flights depart at 07:30, 08:00, 10:30, 12:35, and 13:00, all landing on December 31, 2024, at 08:05, 08:35, 11:05, 13:10, and 13:35, respectively.
Finally, United Airlines will operate a flight from Guam to Honolulu, departing on January 1, 2025, at 07:25 and landing on December 31, 2024, at 18:40.
