Emirates has announced an expanded list of summer destinations to be served by its Airbus A350 aircraft. The list includes Tunis, Istanbul, Amman, Dammam, Ho Chi Minh City, Baghdad and Oslo.
From 1 June, Tunis will be connected to Dubai with six weekly flights, while Emirates’ A350 will fly daily to Amman from the same date. From 1 July, daily flights to Istanbul and Dammam in Saudi Arabia will be introduced. Flights to Ho Chi Minh City are planned from 1 August. Three weekly flights will connect Baghdad to Dubai from 3 August, and daily flights to Oslo will be introduced from 1 September. In addition to the new destinations, the number of weekly flights to Bahrain and Kuwait is increasing, and from 1 June, a month earlier than previously announced, Bologna will also be connected to Dubai by Airbus A350. Flights to all of the above destinations are available for sale and can be booked from 19 March this year.
In the coming months, as the new A350s gradually enter the Emirates fleet, the list of new, more distant destinations will grow, Emirates said in a press release.
Emirates Airline Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, said: “Our strategic expansion of the A350 across geographies across the Middle East/GCC, Europe, Africa and South East Asia leverages the aircraft’s operational flexibility and efficiency, while offering more customers expanded premium travel options and the opportunity to experience our latest generation of interiors such as Business Class and Premium Economy, along with a wealth of thoughtful touches in every cabin, now available in more cities than ever before. The introduction of this aircraft and its placement on existing routes also enables Emirates to maintain a compelling competitive position as the airline of choice for passengers seeking a unique offering of connectivity and enhanced in-flight experiences that cannot be had with any other carrier.”
