Embraer generated revenue of US$2.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026, marking the Brazilian aerospace group’s best-ever result for the April-June period. Revenue increased by 23% compared with the same quarter last year.
Strong financial performance, higher deliveries and a record backlog also prompted Embraer to raise its full-year financial outlook for 2026.
Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes, or EBIT, reached US$296.9 million in the second quarter, with a margin of 13.3%. Adjusted free cash flow excluding Eve amounted to US$401 million.
In addition to improved operating performance, the result was supported by stronger inflows related to customer prepayments and an extraordinary tax credit.
Embraer raised its full-year guidance on the back of the improved business outlook, the tax credit and tariff exemptions. The company now expects an adjusted EBIT margin of between 10% and 10.6%, compared with its previous forecast of 8.7% to 9.3%. Expected adjusted free cash flow excluding Eve was increased from at least US$200 million to at least US$400 million.
Adjusted net income increased from US$158 million in the second quarter of 2025 to US$218.6 million this year. Net income attributable to shareholders reached US$212.6 million, compared with US$78.6 million in the same period last year.
Defense & Security once again recorded the strongest relative revenue growth among Embraer’s business segments. Revenue reached US$304 million, an increase of 38% year over year.
The growth was primarily linked to the KC-390 Millennium transport aircraft program, reflecting the production stages and customer mix for which revenue was recognized during the quarter. The segment’s gross margin increased from 19.5% to 20.6%, while its adjusted EBIT margin rose from 9.2% to 11.9%.
Executive Aviation also delivered strong results, generating revenue of US$725 million, up 32% year over year. Embraer attributed the increase to higher delivery volumes and a more favorable product mix.
Services & Support generated revenue of US$565 million, 24% more than a year earlier, supported by higher activity across all business areas. Commercial Aviation recorded revenue of US$625 million, up 8% compared with the second quarter of 2025, primarily due to higher delivery volumes.
Embraer delivered a total of 65 aircraft during the second quarter, 7% more than in the same period last year. This was the company’s strongest second-quarter delivery performance in 16 years.
During the first six months of 2026, Embraer delivered a total of 109 aircraft, approximately 20% more than the 91 aircraft delivered in the first half of 2025.
The company said the increase in deliveries reflects continued progress in stabilizing production and achieving a more even distribution of output throughout the year.
At the same time, Embraer’s backlog increased to a record US$34.5 billion. The backlog has now grown for seven consecutive quarters and is 16% higher than at the end of the second quarter of 2025.
Embraer invested US$120.8 million during the quarter, compared with US$97.5 million a year earlier. Including investments related to Eve, total investment reached US$151 million.
