From 1 August to 30 November 2026, Croatia Airlines will once again serve products featured in the Dalmatian Marenda project to Business Class passengers on domestic and international flights.
The contents of the meal will vary depending on the duration of the flight. On international flights lasting more than one hour, Business Class passengers will be offered a larger snack package containing Dalmatian prosciutto, olive oil and rosemary crackers, black olive spread, bobići and candied almonds.
On domestic flights and international flights lasting less than one hour, a smaller package will be served, consisting of Dalmatian prosciutto, olive oil and rosemary crackers, and candied almonds.
Part of the project will also be included in Economy Class service. On international flights lasting more than one hour, Economy Class passengers will be served olive oil and rosemary crackers, while the full Dalmatian Marenda selection will remain part of the Business Class offering.
Croatia Airlines provides complimentary food and beverage service on all of its flights, with the contents varying depending on whether the flight is domestic or international, the travel class and the duration of the journey.
The Dalmatian Marenda project was launched four years ago by the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board with the aim of connecting hospitality businesses and family farms, while encouraging the wider inclusion of traditional Dalmatian dishes and local products in the region’s tourism offering.
By incorporating the project into Croatia Airlines’ inflight service, Dalmatian products have gained an additional platform for promotion among domestic and international passengers. The idea is for visitors to begin discovering the flavours of Dalmatia during the flight, even before arriving in Split or other destinations in the region.
The initiative is a joint project of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, the Split Tourist Board and Croatia Airlines, with the support of the Croatian National Tourist Board.
The cooperation continues at a time when Croatia Airlines is further developing its network from Split. During the summer season, the Croatian national carrier operates flights from Split to 21 destinations and 22 airports, with the new Split–Nantes service among the latest additions.
The project also supports efforts to strengthen Central Dalmatia’s position as a gastronomic destination. The region has been selected as a European Region of Gastronomy for 2027, while local products and traditional dishes are increasingly being used as part of the international promotion of Split and Central Dalmatia.
