Daher successfully demonstrates EyePulse MALE drone

Daher has carried out the first successful flight of EyePulse, a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) drone prototype developed for the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA). The project was completed in less than six months in partnership with Thales, confirming the group’s ability to respond quickly to military requirements and accelerate the development of sovereign French unmanned systems.

The demonstration featured a fully automated flight sequence, including an autonomous landing. Thales’ ScaleFlyt avionics were integrated into the platform, while the autonomous phase was activated from the ground by Alexandre Lahousse, DGA Deputy Director General. Thales also provided the remote-control system based on an interoperable and technology-agnostic architecture.

EyePulse relies on certified civil technologies and Daher’s industrial capabilities in rapid prototyping, enabling fast integration of new systems and laying the groundwork for future series production.

According to Daher, EyePulse’s modular design allows it to be adapted to various military requirements. The DGA highlighted the project’s agility and the importance of developing and producing key technologies within France.

The first flight marks a significant step in strengthening France’s drone capabilities and accelerating the development of sovereign solutions for the armed forces.
