Croatia Control has published several open job vacancies, most of which are based in Velika Gorica, while some positions are also available in Pula and at Rijeka Airport, on the island of Krk. The vacancies cover a range of profiles, from technical and engineering roles to meteorology, aeronautical information, administration and professional support roles.
Among the open positions are ATM Systems Engineer, COM Systems Engineer, Area Forecaster, NOTAM Operator, HR Data Analysis Specialist, Management System Specialist, Security System Specialist, CNS Systems Monitoring and Maintenance Technician, and General Affairs Administrator.
For the position of ATM Systems Engineer, based in Velika Gorica, Croatia Control is looking for a person who will be responsible for maintaining computer systems and equipment, preparing proposals for their modifications and updating aviation-technical documentation. Candidates should have completed a relevant degree in the field of technical sciences, specifically electrical engineering or computer science, have knowledge of English, and obtain an aviation-technical personnel licence within 24 months of starting employment. A similar profile is required for the position of COM Systems Engineer, also based in Velika Gorica. This role focuses on communication systems and equipment, their maintenance, technical documentation, modifications, and participation in projects and investments until the systems are placed into operational use. Candidates from the fields of electrical engineering or computer science are required for this position as well, along with knowledge of English and the obligation to obtain an aviation-technical personnel licence within two years. Croatia Control is also looking for two Area Forecasters based in Velika Gorica. Their work includes monitoring weather developments within the Zagreb FIR and the wider region, preparing meteorological forecasts and warnings for air navigation purposes, as well as supervising the operational work of meteorological systems. A relevant degree in the field of natural sciences, specifically geophysics, is required, along with knowledge of English, while the “aeronautical meteorologist” licence is obtained during employment. In the field of aeronautical information, the position of NOTAM Operator is open in Velika Gorica. The operator will be responsible for the initial analysis of received requests and the timely and accurate publication of dynamic aeronautical information for the entire Zagreb FIR. The role includes receiving and analysing requests, publishing NOTAM messages, working with national databases, updating the AIP and participating in the development of digital NOTAM. The requirement for application is a completed undergraduate degree of 180 ECTS credits and knowledge of English, along with subsequent professional training in accordance with Croatia Control’s internal documents. A position is also open for a CNS Systems Monitoring and Maintenance Technician in Pula. The technician will work on the monitoring, management and maintenance of communication, navigation and surveillance systems, or CNS systems and equipment. Candidates are required to have a secondary technical education, for example in electrical engineering, computer science or telecommunications, knowledge of English and two years of professional experience. In Velika Gorica, Croatia Control is also looking for an HR Data Analysis Specialist, who will work on establishing and maintaining parts of employee databases, HRIS functionalities, data analysis and processing, as well as preparing statistical and business reports. Croatia Control is also hiring a Management System Specialist, again based in Velika Gorica. The role includes activities related to the management system, quality assurance and quality control, international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, internal assessments, documentation, indicators, and cooperation with domestic and foreign organisations. Candidates should have completed a relevant degree in the field of technical or natural sciences, have knowledge of English and two years of experience in quality management. For the position of Security System Specialist, based in Velika Gorica, Croatia Control is looking for a person who will work on security system documentation, security risk assessments, internal assessments, inspections, security tests, technical security measures and tasks related to background checks and security clearance procedures. The requirements include a completed degree of 300 ECTS credits, knowledge of English and two years of experience in security-related roles, while a certificate for access to classified information must be obtained within one year of starting employment. The only currently open administrative position outside Velika Gorica is for a General Affairs Administrator at Rijeka Airport, on the island of Krk. The role includes administrative, technical and logistical support for the Approach and Aerodrome Control Unit – Istria/Kvarner Branch, including the preparation of documentation for business trips, warehouse-related tasks, records, procurement, vehicles and other general affairs. Candidates are required to have a secondary education in a social or technical field, or a grammar school education, as well as at least one year of experience in administrative work. Candidates who do not respond to the testing invitation will be considered to have withdrawn their application, while selected candidates will be referred for a medical examination before signing an employment contract.
