Croatia’s national carrier, Croatia Airlines, has decided to extend operations on its Zagreb–Stockholm route, which will, for the first time, continue beyond the end of the summer timetable. The seasonal service, introduced in the summer of 2024, has proven highly successful, and flights will now remain available until 9 January 2026, operating three times per week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Return tickets are available from €149.
The decision to extend the service to the Swedish capital stems from stable demand and the strategic importance of maintaining direct air connectivity between the two capitals, both for tourism and business. By doing so, Croatia Airlines expands its winter network and ensures continuity of service between Zagreb and one of the most important markets in Northern Europe.
Flights to Stockholm during the winter months will be operated by the airline’s new Airbus A220 aircraft, which are gradually renewing Croatia Airlines’ fleet. Along with this route, the carrier will also continue operating two other previously seasonal routes during the winter – to Berlin and Barcelona.
In the upcoming winter schedule, Croatia Airlines plans to operate nearly 10,000 flights and offer more than 1.18 million seats, representing an increase of 7.7% in flight numbers and 21% in capacity compared to the same period last year. Zagreb will thus remain directly connected to a total of 16 international destinations during the winter months, including Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Munich, Paris, Rome, and Zurich.
By extending its service to Stockholm, Croatia Airlines further strengthens its presence in the Scandinavian market and enhances year-round accessibility to the Croatian capital. The introduction of winter flights to Sweden marks another step toward positioning Zagreb as a strong business and tourism hub in the region, confirming that demand for direct air travel between Croatia and Scandinavia continues to grow beyond the peak summer season.
