Croatia Airlines has opened recruitment for two positions. The Croatian flag carrier is looking for an Operations Controller (m/f) and a Corporate Lawyer (m/f), with applications for both vacancies open until 18 September 2026.

For the Operations Controller position, Croatia Airlines is seeking a candidate who will monitor the implementation of the planned flight schedule and respond promptly to operational deviations. The role includes continuous assessment of the impact of weather conditions, airport and airspace status, as well as the technical condition and availability of the fleet on daily operations.

During each shift, the Operations Controller coordinates the work of the Operations and HUB Centres, aligns available capacities and operational resources, and participates in real-time decision-making aimed at reducing delays and preventing their knock-on effects throughout the operation. In the event of disruptions, the role also includes coordinating flight diversions or cancellations.

The position also involves providing flight crews with timely operational information and support during flights, as well as organising and coordinating extraordinary and ad hoc flights.

Candidates are required to have completed at least a professional or university undergraduate degree with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits, with preference given to candidates from aviation or other technical fields. Active knowledge of English and computer skills are required, along with the ability to analyse information quickly, set priorities and make considered decisions in demanding situations.

For this position, Croatia Airlines offers a gross salary ranging from EUR 2,200 to EUR 3,000, depending on work experience, plus a transport allowance. Benefits also include airline tickets for employees and their family members under special conditions.

The second vacancy is for a Corporate Lawyer. The role includes drafting and reviewing contracts and contractual documentation, monitoring regulatory requirements and legislation, preparing legal opinions, and cooperating with competent authorities within the aviation regulatory environment.

The Corporate Lawyer will also participate in handling passenger compensation claims related to delays, cancellations and denied boarding in accordance with EU261 and national regulations. Responsibilities also include aircraft damage claims, insurance matters and employment-law support for the Human Resources department, including participation in collective bargaining.

The position further includes representing Croatia Airlines before courts and other state authorities, drafting legal submissions, providing legal support to other departments, and preparing and aligning internal acts, processes and procedures. The lawyer will also be responsible for assessing legal risks and proposing measures to improve the company’s legal protection in its business activities.

Candidates must hold a law degree and the qualification of graduate lawyer or Master of Laws with at least 300 ECTS credits, have excellent command of English, computer skills and knowledge of EU regulations. Preference will be given to candidates who have passed the bar examination, have experience working in an aviation environment, and have professional experience in civil, commercial, employment and contract law, company law, dispute resolution and representation before courts and other public authorities.

For the Corporate Lawyer position, Croatia Airlines offers a gross salary ranging from EUR 2,000 to EUR 3,000, depending on work experience, plus a transport allowance. The airline also offers flexible working hours for this position, while employment is planned on a fixed-term basis as a replacement for an absent employee, with the possibility of extending the contract.

For both positions, the airline highlights work in a dynamic aviation environment, opportunities for professional development, and airline tickets for employees and their families under special conditions.

Applications for both positions are open until 18 September 2026, and applicants are required to submit a CV. More information is available in the individual job advertisements.
