The Croatian Civil Aviation Agency has announced a public recruitment call for a total of six new employees, with vacancies opened for several profiles covering operational oversight, aerodromes, as well as legal and regulatory affairs. The positions include Aviation Inspector OPS, Aviation Inspector GEN, Aviation Inspector FOI, Aviation Inspector in the Aerodromes Department, Aviation Law Specialist, and Legal Affairs Specialist, with one employee sought for each role, while all positions are based in Zagreb.
In the published job calls, the Agency states that, as a professional organisation performing duties defined by the Air Traffic Act under public authority, it is looking for personnel capable of monitoring and implementing international standards necessary for the safety and security of civil air transport. Depending on the specific position, the selected candidates would be expected to take part in administrative and non administrative procedures, oversight activities, monitoring the implementation of national and European regulations, preparing expert materials, and participating in domestic and international professional bodies.
Most of the vacancies relate to inspector roles in the field of flight operations and training. A separate vacancy has also been opened for an Aviation Inspector in the Aerodromes Department, where the Agency is seeking a person with experience related to aerodrome operations or infrastructure, while knowledge of AutoCAD is listed as an advantage. At the same time, the Agency is also recruiting for two legal positions. The Aviation Law Specialist would deal with administrative and non administrative procedures, management of the Croatian Civil Aircraft Register, passenger rights protection, international agreements, and the alignment of national legislation with the European and international framework. Meanwhile, the Legal Affairs Specialist would focus on ensuring the Agency’s compliance with regulations, monitoring legislative changes, drafting internal acts and procedures, as well as data protection duties and the application of GDPR.
For all vacancies, the Agency offers permanent full time employment with a mandatory six month probation period. The benefits listed include annual bonuses, paid meal and transport costs, a free annual medical check up, additional training and education, and IT equipment in line with job requirements. The selection process may include testing of professional knowledge and skills, computer skills, English language proficiency, psychological assessment, and an interview.
The application deadline for most of the published vacancies is May 4, 2026, including the FOI, GEN, Aerodromes Department inspector, Aviation Law Specialist, and Legal Affairs Specialist positions, while the deadline for the Aviation Inspector OPS role is slightly later, on May 6, 2026.
