The Croatian Civil Aviation Agency is organizing a workshop titled “Flight Preparation,” intended for pilots and flight instructors of sport-recreational aircraft, gliders, light aircraft, and aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of up to 5700 kg. The workshop will take place on Saturday, 12 April 2025, in the large hall of the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency in Zagreb.

The workshop program covers a range of important topics related to flight preparation, starting with an introduction and aeronautical information using the SELF BRIEFING method, followed by the use of meteorological data, airspace management, and the activation and deactivation of flexible structures. During the workshop, participants will also learn how to properly complete and submit a flight plan, as well as check the mass and balance and calculate aircraft performance.

The workshop will be led by aviation inspectors Natko Kulić, Zvonimir Šestan, Tomislav Kaštela, and Marin Mustapić, with the participation of flight instructor Maja Pađen. The program is designed to provide comprehensive preparation for safe and efficient flight planning and execution.

This workshop represents an excellent opportunity for all interested pilots and instructors to expand their knowledge and skills, and to familiarize themselves with the latest practices and standards in flight preparation. Registrations are open to all interested parties, and a high level of interest is expected due to the importance of the topics that will be covered.
