Calibration flights over Osijek Airport

Osijek Airport has announced the conduct of routine calibration flights scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2025, over the airport and the wider city area. These are part of regular safety checks and the calibration of radio navigation equipment, carried out periodically to ensure the accuracy and reliability of air traffic navigation systems.

During the calibration process, the aircraft will perform repeated approaches and circuits over the runway, which may cause short periods of increased noise in nearby areas. Osijek Airport emphasized that there is no cause for concern, as these are standard procedures essential for maintaining high flight safety standards.

According to the schedule provided by the operator, the main calibration flights are planned for the morning and late morning hours, approximately between 09:30 and 12:15 local time, with the possibility of shorter activities in the early morning or afternoon, depending on weather conditions and air traffic control approval.

The calibration will be carried out by the Italian operator ENAV S.p.A. using a Piaggio P.180 Avanti II aircraft, registration I-ENAV. This is a civil flight performed solely for the purpose of testing and adjusting radio navigation systems.

Osijek Airport noted that the schedule is for informational purposes only and may be adjusted according to operational conditions, while thanking residents for their understanding during the procedure.
