Pula Airport will host an Open Day on Saturday, 22 March, from 10 AM to 6 PM, offering aviation enthusiasts and visitors a chance to learn more about airport operations and explore various aircraft up close. The access to the event is free of charge.
The static display will feature a variety of civilian and military aircraft, including the UH-60M Black Hawk, OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, PC-9M from the Krila Oluje (Wings of the Storm) aerobatic team, CL-415 Canadair, AT-802FB Air Boss, Cessna 172, a police helicopter, and Croatia Airlines’ Airbus A220. The program will also include a flyover of the C3R Rafale fighter jet and an aerobatic performance by the Krila Oluje team.
The lucky winners of the prize game will have the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic flight on an Airbus 220, taking in breathtaking aerial views of the Pula Arena and its surroundings. Two flight simulators have been set up for visitors eager to experience what it’s like to pilot an aircraft.
Additional activities include flight simulators, where visitors can test their piloting skills under expert guidance.
Various organizations will also participate in the event:
- The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia will showcase its military aircraft fleet
- Croatia Airlines will present its flight network
- The Ministry of the Interior will provide insight into police work and career opportunities
- Airport employees will be available to answer questions about daily operations and the functioning of the airport.
To facilitate access, a free shuttle bus will be available during the event, and visitors will have access to free parking in all airport parking zones.
Additionally, AvioRadar, in cooperation with Pula Airport, will once again organize a dedicated aircraft spotting area near the threshold of Runway 09, away from the apron and public areas. Interested spotters should follow Avioradar for further details on registration and event arrangements.
