Air Canada will launch a new nonstop service between Montréal and Dubrovnik as part of its 2027 summer schedule. The Canadian flag carrier will operate the route three times per week, with Dubrovnik becoming one of five new international destinations added as part of Air Canada’s major network expansion for the upcoming summer season.

The first flight from Montréal to Dubrovnik is scheduled for May 11, 2027, while the first return service from Dubrovnik will operate the following day. The route will run throughout most of the summer season, until October 24, 2027.

Flight AC950 will depart Montréal on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 18:15, arriving in Dubrovnik at 08:30 the following morning. The return flight, AC951, will depart Dubrovnik on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10:45, arriving in Montréal at 13:45 local time.

The route will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, bringing another regular widebody transatlantic service to Dubrovnik. Air Canada will offer three cabin classes – Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy. Signature Class features lie-flat seats, and Air Canada notes that it will be the only Canadian carrier offering such a premium business class product on flights to Dubrovnik.

Air Canada says the decision to add Dubrovnik reflects strong demand in the premium leisure travel segment for destinations along the Croatian Adriatic coast. The new route, however, is not aimed exclusively at the Montréal and Québec markets. The schedule is designed to provide connections through Air Canada’s Montréal transatlantic hub, linking Dubrovnik with numerous destinations across Canada and the United States.

The new service is also significant because Dubrovnik currently has no nonstop scheduled connection with Montréal. Passengers travelling between the two cities currently have to connect through at least one major European hub, while from May 2027 a direct transatlantic option will become available.

Dubrovnik is part of what Air Canada describes as the largest intercontinental network expansion in the airline’s history. Alongside the Croatian destination, Montréal will also gain a new service to Basel, while Toronto will receive new routes to Oslo, Shannon and Nice. From Vancouver, Air Canada will launch a year-round service to Guangzhou. During the summer of 2027, the airline plans to operate more than 125 international routes and offer up to 169,000 seats per week to more than 85 international destinations outside Canada.

According to Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, summer 2027 will mark the most extensive intercontinental expansion in the carrier’s history. The network growth will be supported by new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, widebody capacity and the continued development of Air Canada’s hubs in Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Tickets for the new Montréal–Dubrovnik route are already on sale. Based on the currently published schedule, the service will operate for more than five months, providing Dubrovnik with a long seasonal nonstop connection to the Canadian market as well as additional connectivity with the rest of North America.
