AIN report on the Cessna crash in Kerestinec

On 5 June, the Croatian Agency for the Investigation of Accidents in Air, Maritime, and Railway Transport (AIN) published a short report on the subject of the Cessna 182 crash in Kerestinec on 25 May 2024. We are transmitting the report in its entirety:

“On 25 May 2024, around 3:40 p.m. local time, a small plane fell in the forest near Kerestinec.

The crash occurred shortly after takeoff from Lučko airport. The plane was carrying a pilot and four paratroopers who were supposed to jump from a height of 1,500 m.

In this accident, one person died, while four people were slightly injured. The plane was destroyed.

On the same day, AIN investigators began an investigation at the scene of the accident, which was completed the next day. A safety investigation will follow, upon completion of which AIN will publish the Final Report on this accident.”
